Eligibility and Qualification for Curator Post in Ministry of Culture Recruitment

Educational Qualification : Composite Method: Deputation (including short-term contract)//promotion:

Promotion: (l) Officers under the Central Government/state Government funion Territories/ Universities /Recognized Research Institutions /Public Sector Undertakings/Semi Government /Statutory or Autonomous Organisations:

a) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/department, with five years regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in the scale of pay of Rs. 8000-13500/- or equivalent in the parent cadre/department;

b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience.

Essential : 

a) Master’s degree of a recognized University equivalent in Museology/Flistory of Art ;or Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in Indian History/Sanskrit/Pali/ Prakrit/ Persian/Arabic/Archaeology/Anthropology/Fine Arts with diploma in Museology of a recognized University or equivalent.

b) five years’ experience in a Museum of National/Regional importance under the control of central Government/state Governments flJnion Territories;

c) one years’ research experience with evidence of published research work in the field of Anthropology. (iv) one year’s field experience and practical training in the field of Anthropology.

Desirable: 

a) M.Phil. degree or diploma in the relevant field from a recognized University /institution or equivalent.

b) The Departmental Deputy Curator (Anthropology) in the pay scale of Rs. 8000-275-13500/- with five years’ regular service in the grade shall also be considered along with outsiders. In case he/she is selected for appointment to the post the same shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion.
