A. Eligibility criteria for deputation For officers:

Having the experience of the post of Chairperson or equivalent
OR

Having the experience of the post of Deputy Chairperson or equivalent for at least 2 years
OR
Having the experience of the post of Head of Department (Traffic, Personnel & Administration, Finance, Marine and Engineering) on regular basis for at least 10 years

B. For AIS/Central Civil Service Group ‘A’ officers:

Officers belonging to All India Services /Central Civil Services Group ‘A’ who have put in not less than 16 years’ of service in Group ‘A’ out of which at least 10 years must have been spent in port planning / operation /administration etc. in Port and Shipping sector.

Eligibility criteria for appointment on contract basis:

i. Postgraduate in any discipline
ii. Professional experience:
25 years’ executive experience out of which at least 5 years shall be as Head of a core functional area in port /maritime sector.
OR
Having the experience of Chairperson or equivalent in a major port;
OR
Having the experience of Deputy Chairperson or equivalent for at least 2 years in a major port.
OR

Having the experience of Head of Department (Traffic, Personnel & Administration, Finance, Marine and Engineering) on regular basis for at least 10 years in a major port;
OR
Has been an officer belonging to All India Services /Central Civil Services Group ‘A’ who has put in not less than 16 years’ of service in Group ‘A’ out of which at least 10 years must have been spent in port planning /operation/administration etc. in port and shipping sector.
